FAQs

What animals do you slaughter?

We slaughter Beef, Pork and Lamb.

How are your cows treated prior to slaughter?

Our beef is grain fed. Our beef is steroid free.  Antibiotics are only given as needed. All animals, if ever on a medication, are off all medications for six weeks prior to slaughter.  Our beef is raised by farm families, who, in many cases, we have been dealing with for three generations. These farmers take very good care of their animals.

Do you sell grass fed beef?

Grass fed beef is available upon request. We sell grass fed beef by the side (half) only.  Delivery may take longer as we only process a grass fed animal once both sides have been purchased.

Who supplies your poultry?

Our poultry supplier is Huismann’s Poultry.  All poultry is dressed fresh weekly at their plant in Harrison, Ohio. All poultry is medication free at time of slaughter.

How are your pigs treated prior to slaughter?

Our pork is grain fed.  Antibiotics are only given as needed. All hogs, if ever on a medication, are off all medications for six weeks prior to slaughter. Again, our farmers take very good care of their animals.

Do you provide fresh lamb?

Fresh lamb is available upon request. You must purchase the entire lamb.  Ten days notice is needed for us to order it for you. Again, all lambs are medication free for six weeks before slaughter.

Can I get a leg of lamb during the holiday seasons?

We do, however, buy in legs of lamb for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter, as many people want this item for their holiday meal.

We also have ground lamb, lamb chops, and lamb shanks on hand most of the time, frozen only. We keep it frozen as these cuts do not sell on a consistent basis.

Why don’t you have prices on your website?
